Fathering Starlings is a lo-fi folk project created by Swedish songwriter and producer Tobias Kjellberg. All songs are written, recorded, produced, and performed by Tobias Kjellberg. 

Working with simple equipment, Fathering Starlings embraces the marks of craftsmanship – tape hiss, rough edges and rawness. The recordings are shaped by an appreciation for imperfection. 

Rooted in folk traditions and the Scandinavian landscape, the songs explore themes of loss, longing, hope, and the traces people leave behind.
